Michael's Story — Escaping the CRA Debt Spiral

Michael came to us with a looming tax bill and a growing sense of dread. He’d been paying himself for years without a clear sense of how much to set aside — and as CRA debt began to pile up, so did the sleepless nights.

We started with an RRSP strategy to tackle the immediate bill, then helped him consolidate his debts and get clarity on exactly how much to set aside for both current and expected taxes. His existing bookkeeping wasn’t timely enough to make good decisions, so we took it over — including his trust-account reconciliations — and gave him tools to track, in real time, how much he’d owe and how much he could safely draw. We also helped him set a net-income goal and build a personal budget.

The difference was night and day. Michael went from feeling cornered to confident — finally in control of both his business and his personal finances.
